OTHER EQUIPMENTS

• - COMPACT UNIT

These practical units may consist of either screening, grit and FOG removal units or all of them at once without having to construct any basins. These compact units can be manufactured from aluminum, epoxy coated or galvanized steel or stainless steel.

• - SAND FILTER

Sand filters are mainly used for suspended solids removal and/or turbidity reduction in both industrial and domestic wastewater treatment plants. These could be manufactured as pressurized or ambient air operated systems perusal. According to the purpose of use, it can contain layers of pebbles, sand, zeolite, quartz or activated carbon for adsorption of particulate matters present in the water. These units can be manufactured from aluminum, epoxy coated or galvanized steel or stainless steel.

• - SCREW CONVEYOR

In wastewater treatment plants screw conveyors are used for screenings and sludge transfer. These could be manufactured either shafted or without and from epoxy coated steel or stainless steel.

• - BELT CONVEYOR

Like screw conveyors, belt conveyors are used for screenings and sludge transfer. These could be manufactured from epoxy coated steel or stainless steel.

• - MIXERS

Mixers are used for water conditioning in wastewater or water treatment plants or could also be used for increase the contact surface for water and coagulants where they could be classified as rapid and slow mixers. These could also be located along in the pipelines and called as static mixers. Mixers could be manufactured from epoxy coated, galvanized steel or stainless steel.
