Domestic wastewater, originates from the water used in kitchen, bathroom, etc. in households or residential areas. It has been known to be managed over 100 years and treatment procedures are quite well known in the main environmental engineering field of study. However, still many projects are poorly designed and/or executed.
The importance of understanding the theory of the system and knowing the field conditions when application is the key aspect of a successful Project execution. Therefore, as Yeditepe Treatment, it is that our honour to declare that we have been combining our undergraduate theoretical knowledge with our field application experience and establishing long lasting, easy to install and maintain domestic or municipal wastewater treatment plants.
The commonly used biological treatment processes for domestic wastewater treatment are as follows;
- Extended Aeration (where SRT is long and less sludge generated)
- Sequencing Batch Reactor (where the final settling is eliminated, less area occupation)
- Moving Bed Bioreactors (where the flowrate and pollutant levels are high where volume of the aeration tank needed to be small)
